Getting There

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the center of Hikkaduwa, find a tuk-tuk stand or flag down a tuk-tuk on the side of the road. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Brief Garden, Beruwala'. It’s approximately a 30-minute ride. The driver will take you along the Galle Road (A2), passing through local towns and beautiful coastal scenery. You’ll eventually arrive at the entrance of the Brief Garden, which is located in Kalawila Village, Beruwala.

  • Public Bus

    Walk to the nearest bus stop along Galle Road (A2) in Hikkaduwa. Look for a bus heading towards Beruwala. Once on the bus, inform the conductor you are heading to Brief Garden. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. Get off at Beruwala Main Bus Station. From there, you can either walk (about 1.5 km) or take a tuk-tuk to the garden. If walking, head towards Kalawila Village, following the main road until you reach the garden entrance.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer a more active way to travel, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Hikkaduwa. From the center, cycle along Galle Road (A2) towards Beruwala. It’s about 10 km, and the ride will take around 40-50 minutes. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the scenic views along the coast.
