Getting There

    From Hikkaduwa town, head towards the main road (Galle Road). Walk south along Galle Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Dodanduwa junction. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. At the Dodanduwa junction, take the left turn onto the road leading towards Dodanduwa. Continue walking for approximately 800 meters. You will see signs indicating the direction to Dodanduwa Lagoon. As you walk, you'll pass a few local homes and small businesses. The lagoon is located next to the bridge, which you should be able to see ahead. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself at Dodanduwa Lagoon.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From any point in Hikkaduwa, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver 'Dodanduwa Lagoon' or point to the location on your phone if you have maps. The journey will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you along Galle Road towards Dodanduwa. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, the driver will turn left at the Dodanduwa junction. Continue on this road for about 800 meters, and you will arrive at the lagoon next to the bridge.
