From Hikkaduwa Beach, head east towards the main road (Galle Road). Once you reach Galle Road, turn right and follow it south. Continue walking for about 3.5 kilometers until you reach the town of Beruwala. As you approach Beruwala, look for signs directing you to Kande Vihara Temple. The temple is located on Kandavihara Yati Road, just off the main road. Once you arrive at the temple, you will be greeted by its impressive architecture and serene atmosphere.

From your accommodation in Hikkaduwa, ask for a tuk-tuk to take you to Kande Vihara Temple in Beruwala. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure to tell the driver to drop you off at Kandavihara Yati Road where the temple entrance is located. A tuk-tuk is a convenient way to travel if you're not keen on walking the distance.

Head to the nearest bus stop in Hikkaduwa and catch a bus heading to Beruwala. Buses are frequent, and the fare is quite inexpensive. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the temple.
