If you are at Hikkaduwa Beach, head east towards the main road (A2). Once you reach the main road, turn left (north) and walk along the A2 road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Kumarakanda junction. Continue straight at the junction, following the signs towards Kumarakanda. After approximately 500 meters, you will see the Kumarakanda Kumara Maha Viharaya on your right.

From any location in Hikkaduwa, you can hire a tuk-tuk. Tell the driver to take you to Kumarakanda Kumara Maha Viharaya or simply say 'Kumarakanda temple'. The journey will typically take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the temple entrance on A2 road.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Hikkaduwa. Start from the beach area and head towards the A2 road. Once you reach the main road, turn left and cycle northward for about 1.5 kilometers. At the Kumarakanda junction, take the right fork and continue straight for another 500 meters. The temple will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
