Look for signage marking the entrance. Please note there may be a small entrance fee, which is typically around LKR 400 per adult. Make sure to bring cash.

To reach Moon Plains via public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Nuwara Eliya to the town of Hawa Eliya. Buses are frequent and cost around LKR 50. Once you arrive at Hawa Eliya, you can either walk (about 3 kilometers) or hire a tuk-tuk (which costs around LKR 200-300) to take you to the entrance of Moon Plains. The entrance is located on Ranhawadigama Rd.
