If you are driving, start from Kalutara town center. Head south on the A2 highway towards Galle. After about 3 kilometers, take a right turn onto an unnamed road that leads directly towards the beach. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach Katukurunda Beach. There is no parking fee, but be cautious of local traffic and be aware that the road can be narrow in places.

To reach Katukurunda Beach by bus, head to the Kalutara Main Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards Panadura or Galle. You can take a bus that stops at the Katukurunda area, which is approximately a 10 to 15-minute ride. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Katukurunda Beach. The fare is usually around 30-50 LKR. Once you get off the bus, it is a short walk down the unnamed road to reach the beach.
