If you are driving from Kandy, head west on the A26 road towards Wattegama. After about 15 km, you will reach Wattegama. From there, take the B462 road towards Pathadumbara. Continue on this road for about 6 km until you reach the location marked as '8MWR+XH6'. The waterfall is located a short walk from the road. Parking may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Rahas Ella Waterfall using public transportation, start from the Kandy bus station. Take a bus heading towards Wattegama. The bus fare is approximately 50 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). After about a 30-minute ride, get off at Wattegama. From here, you can either take a tuk-tuk for about 300 LKR to the waterfall or walk approximately 6 km along the B462 road. Walking may take around 1.5 hours, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
Tuk-Tuk
If you are at Wattegama and prefer a quicker option, hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Rahas Ella Waterfall. The ride will cost around 300-500 LKR depending on negotiation. The journey will take about 15 minutes. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can walk from Wattegama to Rahas Ella Waterfall. The route is approximately 6 km along the B462 road. It is advisable to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and to carry water and snacks for the journey. The walk will take around 1.5 hours.
