Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the Kandy city center, head southwest on Dalada Vidiya towards Rajapihilla Mawatha. After approximately 1 km, turn left onto Rajapihilla Mawatha. Continue straight for about 500 meters, and you will find Royal Palace Park on your right. There are limited parking spaces available near the entrance, so be prepared to park on the roadside if necessary. Parking may incur a small fee depending on local regulations.

• Tuk-Tuk

  For a more local experience, consider taking a tuk-tuk from your location in Kandy. Simply tell the driver to take you to Royal Palace Park, located at Rajapihilla Mawatha. The fare may vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay around 200-500 LKR. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer to use public transportation, look for buses heading to the Kandy city center. Most buses will stop near the Kandy Bus Station. Once you arrive at the bus station, walk towards the main road and catch a local bus heading to Rajapihilla Mawatha. The fare is usually around 50-100 LKR. Get off when you reach the Royal Palace Park stop; it is a short walk from the bus stop to the park entrance.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, walking to Royal Palace Park can be a pleasant option. From the Kandy city center, head southwest on Dalada Vidiya, then turn left onto Rajapihilla Mawatha. The park entrance will be on your right after about 1.5 km. Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some uphill walking, as Kandy is set in a hilly area.
