From the center of Nuwara Eliya, head towards the main road (A1). Look for the direction signs pointing towards Kandy. Once you reach the A1, turn left and continue walking along this road. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the junction of the A1 and the road leading to Katukele. Continue straight on the A1 for another 5 kilometers until you see the sign for Katukele. The Pillaiyar Kovil will be on your right-hand side once you enter the Katukele area.

You can take a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Nuwara Eliya to Pillaiyar Kovil. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Pillaiyar Kovil in Katukele.' The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Most drivers will know the location well. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
