Walking
If you are starting from Kandy city center, head towards the Kandy Clock Tower and proceed down the Dalada Vidiya (Temple Road). Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Colombo Road. At the intersection, turn right onto Colombo Road. Walk for approximately 4 kilometers, and you will see the Embilmeegama Tea Factory on your left at 151 Colombo Road, Pilimathalawa.
Tuk-Tuk
From Kandy city center, find a tuk-tuk at a nearby stand or flag one down. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Embilmeegama Tea Factory located at 151 Colombo Road, Pilimathalawa. The journey should take around 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you along Colombo Road, which is the most direct route.
Public Bus
To reach the Embilmeegama Tea Factory via public transport, take a bus from the Kandy Bus Station heading towards Pilimathalawa. Look for buses labeled 'Pilimathalawa' or ask locals for assistance. The bus ride should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pilimathalawa, disembark and walk approximately 500 meters along Colombo Road. The tea factory will be on your right at 151 Colombo Road.
