  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from Kilinochchi town and head southwest on the A9 highway. Follow the A9 for approximately 38 km until you reach the turn-off for Pesalai. Take a left onto the B2 road, which leads directly to Pesalai Beach. Continue on this road for about 10 km, and you will arrive at Pesalai Beach. There are no tolls on this route, but be aware of local traffic regulations.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    To reach Pesalai Beach via public transportation, take a bus from Kilinochchi town to Mannar, which frequently runs throughout the day. The bus ride will take around 1 hour and costs approximately 100 LKR. Once you reach Mannar, you can transfer to a local bus or a tuk-tuk heading to Pesalai, which is about 20 km away and will cost about 50 LKR. Ensure you inform the driver to drop you off at Pesalai Beach.

  • Tuk-tuk

    If you prefer a more direct option after reaching Mannar, you can hire a tuk-tuk for approximately 500 LKR from Mannar to Pesalai Beach. This is a convenient way to travel if you have luggage or prefer not to wait for the bus. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
