If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kilinochchi. Head northeast on A9 road (Nallur-Kilinochchi Road) for approximately 25 kilometers. Look for the sign for Urumpirai North, then turn onto the AB18 road. Continue on AB18 for about 5 kilometers until you reach the location at 46 AB18, Urumpirai North. There is parking available near the site.

To reach Nilavarai using public transport, take a bus from Kilinochchi bus station heading towards Urumpirai. Buses are frequent and the fare is usually around 50 LKR. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Urumpirai North. Once you arrive, walk about 1 kilometer on AB18 road, and you will reach the natural underground water well at 46 AB18.
