From the center of Kitulgala, head west on the A7 road toward Deraniyagala. Continue on the A7 for approximately 3 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Deraniyagala Road. Turn left onto Deraniyagala Road. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a small parking area, where you can leave your car. Ballamula Ella is a short walk from this parking area.

From the main bus stop in Kitulgala, take a local bus heading towards Deraniyagala. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the nearest stop to Deraniyagala Road. Once you get off, walk about 1 kilometer along Deraniyagala Road.
