If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Kitulgala. Head southeast on the A7 road towards Avissawella. Continue for about 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Budumaloka Waterfall. Turn onto the narrow road leading to the waterfall. Follow the signs for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. Be aware that the road may be bumpy in certain sections.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local bus from Kitulgala towards Avissawella. It's about a 10-minute ride. Request the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to the Budumaloka Waterfall sign. Once you get off, you may have to walk approximately 1 kilometer along a dirt road to the waterfall. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven.

If you prefer to walk from Kitulgala, it is about a 4-kilometer trek to Budumaloka Waterfall. Start by heading southeast on the main road (A7) for about 3 kilometers. After you pass the bridge, look for a side road to your left that leads to the waterfall. Continue along this path for about 1 kilometer to reach the waterfall. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are no shops along the way.
