Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Kurunegala City. Head north on the A10 road towards Kumbukwewa. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will pass the Kumbukwewa junction. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach JCQ9+VM8, Kumbukwewa, where the Arankale Buddhist Monastery is located. There is parking available near the entrance to the monastery.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Arankale Buddhist Monastery by bus, go to the Kurunegala Bus Station and take a bus heading towards Kumbukwewa. Confirm with the bus driver that they will stop at Kumbukwewa. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kumbukwewa stop, disembark and ask locals for directions to the monastery, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. The fare for the bus should be around 50 LKR.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more comfortable option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Kurunegala City to the Arankale Buddhist Monastery. Negotiate the fare before getting in; it should cost around 500-700 LKR for the trip, which typically takes about 20 minutes. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the monastery.
