Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Matara town. From the Matara Clock Tower, take the A2 road (also known as Galle Road) towards the south. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Matara Bodhiya on your left. Turn left onto a small road that leads directly to Matara Bodhiya. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Matara Bodhiya using public transportation, find a local bus that heads towards Matara. You can catch buses from various locations in the district. Ask the conductor for Matara Bodhiya when you board. The bus will drop you off at the closest stop. From there, it is a short walk of about 200 meters to the temple. Keep in mind that local bus fares are generally low, but it's a good idea to have some small change ready for your fare.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more direct option, consider taking a tuk-tuk. You can easily find tuk-tuks around Matara town. Simply tell the driver 'Matara Bodhiya' or show them the address: Matara Bodhiya, Matara 81000. The fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically ranging from 200 to 500 LKR depending on your starting point.
