Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Matara Town. Head southwest on Matara - Hambantota Main Road (A2). After approximately 2 km, take a left onto Beach Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach Madiha Beach, which will be on your right. There is parking available along Beach Road, but it can be limited during peak hours.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Madiha Beach via public transportation, find a local bus heading towards Matara if you are not already in the area. Buses frequently run from various parts of Sri Lanka to Matara. Once in Matara, take a local bus labeled 'Madiha' from the Matara bus station. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes and will cost approximately 30 LKR. Inform the conductor that you wish to get off at Madiha Beach. The bus will drop you off near Beach Road, and from there, you can walk a short distance to the beach.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more personalized experience, you can hire a tuk-tuk from any location in Matara. Negotiate the fare before starting; it usually costs around 300-500 LKR depending on your starting point. The ride will take about 15 minutes from the center of Matara, and the tuk-tuk will drop you off directly at Madiha Beach along Beach Road.
