If you are driving from the center of Matara, head east on Matara - Colombo Main Road (A2). After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach the Nilwala River Bridge. Cross the bridge and you will find yourself next to Nilwala Ganga. Look for parking areas along the riverbank.

From Matara Bus Station, take a bus heading towards Weligama. Buses run frequently, costing around 30 LKR. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Nilwala River Bridge. After about 15 minutes of travel, disembark at the bridge stop. From there, you can walk to the riverbank to access Nilwala Ganga.
