Tuk-Tuk
From your location in Matara, find the nearest Tuk-Tuk stand, which is usually located near main streets or markets. Inform the driver that you want to go to Goyambokka Beach in Tangalle. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. You can also negotiate the fare beforehand, but it generally costs around 1500-2000 LKR. The driver will take you directly to the beach entrance.
Bus
Head to the Matara Bus Station located near the city center. Look for buses heading towards Tangalle. Make sure to ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Goyambokka Beach; they are usually familiar with significant stops. The bus ride takes about 1 hour, and the fare is quite economical, usually around 50-100 LKR. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the beach from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are staying close to the coastal areas, consider walking towards Goyambokka Beach. Start from the Matara Fort area, follow the coastline southwards along the beach.
