Getting There

    Start at the Matara Bus Station, located at the center of Matara. From the bus station, head southwest on Matara-Kamburugamuwa Road (A2) for approximately 1 kilometer. Look for signs directing you towards the beach. Continue until you reach the junction of the A2 and the road leading to Goyambokka Beach. Follow the road towards the beach, which will be around 2 kilometers away. The beach will be on your left-hand side. You may also ask locals for directions, as they are usually very helpful.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From any point in Matara, you can hail a tuk-tuk to take you to Goyambokka Beach. Simply tell the driver 'Goyambokka Beach' or show them the name on your phone. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the beach entrance, and you can discuss the fare before starting the journey to avoid any confusion.

  • Public Bus

    To reach Goyambokka Beach via public transport, take a bus from Matara to Tangalle. Buses leave frequently from the Matara Bus Station. Inform the bus conductor that you are going to Goyambokka Beach. The bus will take you to a stop near the beach, approximately 15-20 minutes away.
