Getting There

Walking
From the Matara Bus Station, exit and head southwest on Matara - Hambantota Main Road. Walk straight for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Wella Devalaya Road. Continue walking for about 800 meters until you see signs for Mirissa. Follow the signs to Mirissa, which will lead you to the beach area. Once you arrive at Mirissa beach, Parrot Rock will be visible on the left side of the beach. Walk towards the beach and head to Parrot Rock, which is a small rocky outcrop.

Tuk-Tuk
From any point in Matara, you can easily find a tuk-tuk by waving one down or asking at your hotel. Tell the driver you want to go to Mirissa Beach and specifically to Parrot Rock. The drive should take about 20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off near the beach area, where you can easily spot Parrot Rock from there as it’s located on the beach.

Bicycle Rental
You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Matara. Start your ride from the Matara Bus Station and head southwest on Matara - Hambantota Main Road. After around 1 km, turn left onto Wella Devalaya Road at the roundabout. Continue cycling for about 800 meters towards Mirissa. Once you reach Mirissa, park your bicycle at a designated area and walk towards the beach where Parrot Rock is located.
