Getting There

  • Tuk-tuk

    From the center of Matara, head to the Matara bus station. You can find many tuk-tuks waiting outside. Tell the driver you want to go to Talalla Beach, which is approximately 15 minutes away. The fare should be around 300-400 LKR. Make sure to negotiate the price before you begin your journey.

  • Public Bus

    At the Matara bus station, look for a bus heading towards Talalla or Dikwella. These buses will make stops along the way, and Talalla is one of the stops. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes, and the fare is very affordable (about 50-100 LKR). Be sure to ask the conductor to inform you when you reach Talalla Beach.
