Walking
From the center of Mirissa, head east towards the main road (Hikkaduwa - Matara Road). Continue walking until you reach the junction where you can see a sign for Dondra. Turn left onto the Dondra Road. Keep walking straight for about 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and small eateries along the way. As you approach Dondra, you will see a sign directing you to Dondra Head. Follow the signs until you reach Port Access Road. Dondra Head will be on your left.
Tuk-Tuk
Hail a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Mirissa. Tell the driver you want to go to Dondra Head. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure the driver understands that you want to go to the lighthouse at Port Access Road. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance to Dondra Head.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the center of Mirissa and cycle east towards Hikkaduwa - Matara Road. Once you reach the junction, turn left onto Dondra Road. Continue cycling straight for about 2 kilometers. You will enjoy the scenic views along the way. Follow the signs to Dondra Head and turn left onto Port Access Road. You will arrive at Dondra Head lighthouse.
