Car
If you are driving from Moneragala town, head northwest on A4 road towards the town of Matale. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. As you drive, be sure to follow the signs towards Matale. Once you reach Matale, keep an eye out for the signs leading to Dumbara Ella Waterfall. You'll likely need to ask locals for the exact path to the waterfall as it is situated in a more rural area. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for potentially rough terrain as the final approach may be less paved.
Public Transportation
From Moneragala town, take a local bus heading to Matale. The bus ride will take roughly 1 hour and costs about 100 LKR. Once you arrive in Matale, you will need to take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to reach Dumbara Ella Waterfall. The tuk-tuk ride will cost around 500-700 LKR and take about 30 minutes.
