If you are driving, head towards Bandarawela, which is well connected to major roads in Moneragala District. From Bandarawela town, take the Poonagala Road. Follow the road for approximately 4 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Pilkington Point. There is parking available near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
To reach Pilkington Point via public transport, take a bus from Moneragala or Badulla to Bandarawela. Once you arrive at Bandarawela bus station, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a taxi to take you directly to Pilkington Point. The tuk-tuk ride will cost approximately 500 LKR to 1000 LKR, depending on your negotiation skills and time of day.
Walking
If you are already in Bandarawela and prefer to walk, you can trek to Pilkington Point from the town center. It is about a 4-kilometer walk and will take roughly 1 hour. Follow Poonagala Road, which will lead you directly to the viewpoint. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
