If you are starting from Negombo Beach, head east towards the main road (Lewis Place). Walk along the beach road until you reach the main intersection with the Colombo - Negombo main road. Cross the road and continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Main Street (Kochchikade). Continue walking for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the Dutch Canal on your left side. Follow the path along the canal for a scenic walk.
