To reach Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya from the beach area of Negombo, you can take a tuk-tuk. First, head towards the main road (Negombo-Colombo Road). You can easily find a tuk-tuk waiting near most hotels or along the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya in Peliyagoda. The ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic.

If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus from Negombo to Colombo. Look for a bus heading towards Colombo Fort, and get off at the Peliyagoda bus stop. This is a common route, so you can ask the conductor to let you know when you arrive at Peliyagoda. From the bus stop, it's about a 10-minute walk to the temple. Head towards the main road, and you will see signs for Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya.

Start from the Negombo beach area, walk towards the Negombo-Colombo Road, and continue straight until you reach the Peliyagoda area.
