If you are driving from Nuwara Eliya city center, start by heading southwest on the Main Street (A5). Continue along this road for about 6.5 kilometers. You will pass the beautiful Gregory Lake on your left. After approximately 6.5 kilometers, look for a sign for Hakgala and take a left turn onto the Hakgala Road (B97). Drive for about 2 kilometers, and you will see signs for Hakgala Ella Falls. You may need to park your car at a designated area, as vehicle access may be limited close to the falls.

To reach Hakgala Ella Falls using public transport, start at the Nuwara Eliya bus stand. Board a bus heading to Hakgala. The fare is typically around 50 LKR. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hakgala, look for a local tuk-tuk service or ask locals for directions to the falls, which are about 1.5 kilometers from the main road. Tuk-tuk fares should be around 200-300 LKR for the short trip to the falls.
