Walking
From the Sigiriya Rock Fortress entrance, head south towards the main road, Sigiriya Rd. Walk along Sigiriya Rd for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several small shops and local eateries on your way. Keep an eye out for the local signs indicating the direction towards Awdangawa. After about a 15-minute walk, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path, which leads you deeper into the area of Awdangawa. Continue walking for another 500 meters until you see the sign for Awdangawa on your right. Follow that path until you arrive at the location.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from any of the local shops in Sigiriya. Start at the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and head south along Sigiriya Rd. The ride is relatively flat and should take around 10-15 minutes. Keep to the left at the fork in the road, and continue for another 500 meters. Look for the sign pointing towards Awdangawa, which will be on your right. Follow the path to reach your destination.
Tuk-Tuk
For a quicker option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from any point in Sigiriya. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to Awdangawa. They will take you directly there, and the journey should take about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. It's a convenient option, especially if you're traveling with luggage or in a group.
