Turn right onto the coastal road (Fort Frederick Road) and follow it until you reach the entrance of Fort Frederick. The Naval Museum is located within the premises of Fort Frederick. You may need to ask for directions at the entrance, as it is situated towards the southern end of the fort.

    Hail a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Trincomalee and tell the driver you want to go to the Naval Museum. Most drivers will be familiar with it, but you can also mention that it is located near Fort Frederick. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the driver can drop you off at the entrance of Fort Frederick, from where you will walk to the museum.
