Start from Trincomalee town center, head north on Main Street (Galle Road). Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Koneswaram Road. Turn left onto Koneswaram Road and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. After reaching the roundabout, take the first exit to remain on Koneswaram Road. Continue until you see the entrance to the hiking area on your right. Follow the marked trails to reach Ostenburg Ridge.

From Trincomalee town, hail a tuk-tuk and tell the driver you want to go to Ostenburg Ridge. They will likely know the location. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to the hiking area on Koneswaram Road. Once you arrive, follow the marked trails to reach the ridge.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Trincomalee. Start at the town center and head north on Main Street (Galle Road). Continue straight until you reach Koneswaram Road, then turn left. Cycle for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Go straight through the roundabout to stay on Koneswaram Road and look for the entrance to the hiking area on your right. Park your bike and follow the trails to Ostenburg Ridge.
