Getting There

  If you are starting from Trincomalee's main bus station, head south on Trincomalee - Batticaloa Highway (A15). Walk for approximately 1.2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Koneswaram Road. You'll see local shops and eateries along the way, which can be a good opportunity for refreshments.

  At the Koneswaram Road junction, turn left and continue walking straight for about 700 meters. You will pass by several small shops and local residences. Keep an eye out for signposts indicating Koneswaram Temple, as they will guide you toward the roundabout.

  For a more convenient option, consider taking a tuk-tuk from your location in Trincomalee. Simply flag down a tuk-tuk driver and tell them you wish to go to Thirukoneswaram Roundabout. The fare should be reasonable, and the ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

• Local Bus

  You can also take a local bus heading towards Koneswaram. Look for buses that have 'Koneswaram' displayed on their front. Board the bus from a nearby bus stop, and the ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Koneswaram bus stop, which is a short walk to the Thirukoneswaram Roundabout.
