Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Trincomalee, head east on Kandy Road (A12) towards Nugasewana Mawatha. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and local eateries. As you approach the 5th Mile Post, keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Trincomalee Beach. Shortly after the 5th Mile Post, you will find Nugasewana Mawatha on your right. Turn onto Nugasewana Mawatha and continue straight until you reach the beach area. The beach is well-marked and easy to access.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From any location in Trincomalee, you can easily find a tuk-tuk by waving one down or asking at your hotel. Tell the driver you want to go to Trincomalee Beach. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. As you travel, you will go along Kandy Road (A12) and then turn onto Nugasewana Mawatha. Ensure the driver knows to drop you off at the beach area, which is a popular destination.
