Walking
If you are starting from Unawatuna Beach, head east along the shoreline until you reach the end of the beach. Continue walking along the main road, which is called Matara Road. Keep following the road as it curves slightly left, and after about 3 km, you will reach the entrance to Mirissa Beach. Look for signs directing you to the beach area.

From anywhere in Unawatuna, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply wave one down or ask your hotel or a local to arrange one for you. Tell the driver you want to go to Mirissa Beach. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the beach entrance.

To reach Mirissa by public bus, walk to the main road (Matara Road) in Unawatuna. Look for a local bus heading towards Matara; they are usually blue and white. Board the bus and inform the conductor that you are going to Mirissa. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the beach area. Once you get off, follow the signs to the beach.
