From the center of Unawatuna, head southeast towards the coast. Walk along the beach road (Galle Rd) until you reach the intersection with the A2 highway. Once you reach the A2, turn left and continue walking for about 5 kilometers. You'll pass by beautiful coastline views and small local shops. Weligama is located on your right as you approach the town.

Find a tuk-tuk stand in Unawatuna; there are several along the main road. Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Weligama, which should be around 300-400 LKR. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Weligama beach area, as it's a popular destination.
