From the center of Unawatuna, start walking towards the main road (Matara Road). Head south along the beach road until you reach the end of the beach area. Once you hit the main road, turn left and continue walking along the road for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and local eateries. Keep walking straight; you will eventually see the signs directing you towards Galle. Follow the signs until you reach the entrance of Galle Fort.

If you're looking for a quicker option, you can catch a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Unawatuna. Simply wave down a tuk-tuk driver and tell them you want to go to Galle Fort.
