If you are in Unawatuna, start at the main beach area. Head towards the east direction along the beach road (Galle Road). Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Jungle Beach Road, which is marked by local signs. Turn left onto Jungle Beach Road. Follow the road uphill for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs pointing to the Japanese Peace Pagoda. The path may have some steep sections, so be prepared for a bit of a climb.

From any point in Unawatuna, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Japanese Peace Pagoda at Rumassala. They are familiar with the location and will take you directly to the entrance on Jungle Beach Road. The ride typically takes about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Unawatuna. Start from the main beach area and cycle towards Galle Road. Turn onto Jungle Beach Road and continue cycling uphill for approximately 1 kilometer. Be cautious as the road can be steep in certain sections. You will eventually reach the Japanese Peace Pagoda.
