Car
If you're driving to the View Point (Tea Land) in Ella, start from Ella town center. Head south on the A23 road towards Badulla. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, take the left turn onto the road that leads to the tea plantations (this is a smaller road, watch for signs). Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers. You'll reach a parking area near the viewpoint. The location coordinates are approximately 6.8762875, 81.0459793.
Public Transportation
To reach the View Point (Tea Land) via public transportation, start at the Ella bus station. Take a bus heading towards Badulla and inform the conductor that you want to get off near the tea plantations. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off the bus, you can either walk the remaining 1.5 kilometers or hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to the viewpoint. Make sure to confirm the fare with the tuk-tuk driver before starting your journey. The viewpoint is well-known, so most drivers should be familiar with it.
Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer a more personalized ride, hiring a tuk-tuk is a great option. You can find tuk-tuks around the Ella town center. Negotiate a fare for a round trip to the View Point (Tea Land) to ensure you have a ride back. The journey from Ella town to the viewpoint should take around 10 minutes. Make sure to ask your driver to wait for you while you enjoy the views.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can walk from Ella town to the View Point (Tea Land). This scenic trek will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Head south on A23, then take the left turn towards the tea plantations. Follow the trail through the lush greenery, and enjoy the sights along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
