Getting there

Car

From the main city in Uva Province, take the A4 road towards Badulla. Continue on the A4 until you reach the town of Kalupahana. Look for signs directing you towards 'Bambarakanda Falls' as you approach Kalupahana. Once in Kalupahana, take the Kalupahana - Ohiya Road (also known as the B64) and follow it for about 7 kilometers. You will find the entrance to Bambarakanda Falls on your left. There is a small parking area available for visitors.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from major towns in Uva Province towards Badulla. Once you arrive in Badulla, transfer to a bus heading to Kalupahana. Upon reaching Kalupahana, ask the driver or locals for directions to 'Bambarakanda Falls'. You may need to hire a tuk-tuk or walk approximately 7 kilometers along the Kalupahana - Ohiya Road to reach the falls. Be aware that bus fares may vary but expect to pay around 100-200 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees) for the journey.

Tuk-Tuk

For a more direct route, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Kalupahana to Bambarakanda Falls. This is a convenient option if you prefer not to walk. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes and cost approximately 500-1000 LKR, depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.
