If you're traveling by car, start from the town center of Mahiyanganaya. Head south on the Bibile-Uraniya Road (A5) for approximately 1 kilometer. Follow the signs for Mahiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya, and you will see the temple on your left. There is parking available near the temple.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Mahiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya using public transport, take a local bus from any major town in Uva Province heading towards Mahiyanganaya. Look for buses labeled 'Mahiyanganaya' at the bus station. The journey may take around 1-2 hours, depending on your starting point. Once in Mahiyanganaya, alight at the main bus station, which is about 2 kilometers from the temple. From there, you can hire a tuk-tuk or walk along the Bibile-Uraniya Road (A5) heading south for about 20-30 minutes until you reach the temple.
