Car
If you are driving from Colombo, take the A1 highway heading towards Kandy. After about 30 km, take the exit towards the A4 road (Nittambuwa). Continue on the A4 until you reach the town of Mawanella. From there, take the B40 road towards Labugama. Follow the signs, and after approximately 15 km, you will reach the entrance to Labugama falls. Parking is available near the entrance, but be aware of potential parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Labugama falls via public transport, start by taking a bus from Colombo to Kandy. Once you arrive in Kandy, transfer to a bus heading towards Mawanella. After reaching Mawanella, you will need to find a local bus or tuk-tuk to Labugama. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will take you to Labugama falls. The total travel time can take around 2-3 hours depending on connections. Expect to pay a small fare for each segment of your journey, typically around 100-200 LKR for the bus rides.
