    If you are driving from the Yala National Park area, head west on the main road toward Tissamaharama (Tissa). Continue on this road for approximately 23 kilometers. After reaching Tissamaharama, look for signposts directing you to Kataragama. Continue on the same road for about 17 kilometers until you reach the town of Kataragama.
