Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Sipaliwini District. Head southwest on the main road towards Afobakaweg. Follow the signs directing you towards the Afobakadam area. The journey is approximately 1.5 hours (about 60 km). As you approach Afobakadam, keep an eye out for the signs indicating Afobaka Resort. The resort is located along the Afobakaweg, directly by the Suriname river.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, locate the nearest bus terminal in Sipaliwini District. Look for a bus heading towards Afobaka or Afobakadam. The bus journey may take around 2 to 3 hours depending on stops. After arriving in Afobakadam, you may need to take a taxi or arrange for a local ride to get to Afobaka Resort, which is a short distance from the bus drop-off point.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route after reaching Afobakadam by public transport, you can hire a taxi. Taxis are available near the bus station. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey to Afobaka Resort, which should be around 10 to 20 SRD depending on the distance.
