If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Uddevalla, which is about 20 km from Brastad. Take the E6 motorway southbound. After approximately 10 km, take exit 88 towards Brastad. Follow the signs for Brastad on Road 161. Continue on this road for about 7 km. As you approach Brastad, watch for the signs for Backa Rock Carvings. Turn onto Backavägen, and you will find the site on your left. There is free parking available near the site.

By Public Transportation
To reach Backa Rock Carvings using public transportation, take a train from Gothenburg to Uddevalla. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Uddevalla, transfer to bus number 840 towards Brastad. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Backavägen' – it's a short walk from there to the rock carvings. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited on weekends.
