A park shaped by town and water

Laholms Stadspark lies close to the centre of Laholm and is defined by a sequence of small ponds and low ridges that create a soft, varied landscape for strolling and resting. Water mirrors the sky here: still sheet surfaces in summer, thin ice and frost patterns in winter. The paths curve around lawns, flowerbeds and stands of mature deciduous trees, giving the park a layered feel where open sunny spaces sit beside sheltered glades.

Where the park meets residential streets there are trimmed beds, seasonal borders and small architectural details such as footbridges and pavilion-like shelters. Benches and picnic clearings are placed to take advantage of shade in summer and late-afternoon light in autumn.
