    If you are driving, head towards the town of Strömstad, which is the closest mainland town to Koster Islands. From Strömstad, take E6 northbound for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Rv 172 exit. Follow Rv 172 to the ferry terminal at the Koster Ferry, which is located at the docks in Strömstad. There is a parking area available near the ferry terminal where you can leave your car for a fee, typically around 100 SEK per day.

    To reach Koster Islands using public transportation, take a bus from the nearby town of Strömstad. The bus station is located in the center of Strömstad, and you can catch a bus to the Koster Ferry terminal.
