From Norrbotten, head south on E4 towards Stockholm. Continue on E4 for approximately 800 km. As you approach Nyköping, take exit 142 towards Nyköping/Skavsta Airport. Merge onto Nyköpingsvägen and continue onto Tolagsgatan. The Sörmland Museum will be on your right at Tolagsgatan 8, 611 31 Nyköping. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
From Norrbotten, take a bus or train to Stockholm Central Station. From there, transfer to a train heading south towards Nyköping (check SJ.se for schedules). Once you arrive at Nyköping Station, exit and take bus 773 or 774 towards Skavsta Airport, which will take you to the museum area. Get off at the stop 'Nyköping Centrum' and walk about 10 minutes to reach Sörmland Museum located at Tolagsgatan 8. Be sure to check the public transport schedules for any costs associated with your journey.
