Bus
From Östersund city center, walk to the bus station located at Stortorget. Take bus number 100 towards Krokom. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Krokom. Get off at the 'Krokom' bus stop. From there, you will need to transfer to bus number 20 towards Ås. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Tysjöarna'. Follow the signs to the Tysjöarna nature reserve, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Östersund. Head towards the bike path along Storsjöstrand following the signs for Krokom. Continue on this path for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach Krokom. Once in Krokom, follow the signs towards Ås, which is another 5 kilometers. Tysjöarna will be located just a short distance from the Ås village. The total cycling distance is about 17 kilometers.

For the adventurous, you can walk from Östersund to Tysjöarna. Start from the city center and head towards the west along the walking paths towards Krokom. It’s a long trek, approximately 20 kilometers, so ensure you are prepared for the journey. Follow the path signs towards Krokom and then to Ås. Upon reaching Ås, ask locals for directions to Tysjöarna, which is a well-known local nature reserve.
