Östra Kullaberg showcases the eastern flank of this Archaean rock ridge thrusting into the Kattegat, with sheer cliffs dropping up to 80 meters to jagged, cave-riddled shores. The terrain mixes steep drops with knotty oak scrub clinging to the edges, creating a wild contrast to Skåne's gentler landscapes. Weathered raukar and grottor dot the shoreline, remnants of millennia of sea erosion that have carved secretive bays ideal for exploration.

Inland, beech and oak forests yield to grazed ljungfältar where sheep and wild ponies roam, fostering biodiversity in microclimates shaped by wind and exposure. Håkull, the reserve's high point at 187 meters, crowns the area with sweeping vistas across Skälderviken bay and Bjärehalvön to the north, or southwesterly toward Denmark. A network of color-coded paths weaves through Östra Kullaberg: the orange Kullaleden (part of 70km Skåneleden) skirts the peninsula coast, linking to blue and red trails via yellow connectors. These routes access tide pools for snorkeling, climbing crags, and secluded swims. The eastern section suits mountain biking, with gentler gradients leading from Mölle toward golf links and pastoral commons, rewarding with ever-changing sea panoramas.

Stone Age settlers left marks in over 20 cliff caves, some with archaeological traces of ancient dwellings. Later, fishing hamlets like Mölle dotted the shores, their heritage woven into the landscape.
