For public transportation, start by taking the subway (Tunnelbana) Line 19 from central Stockholm to Brommaplan. At Brommaplan, transfer to bus 176 towards Drottningholm. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Drottningholm' stop, which is just a short walk from the palace entrance. Be sure to check the SL website for the latest schedule and ticket prices, as a ticket for the subway and bus may cost around 40 SEK for a single journey.
