From Gothenburg, take the E20 highway towards Borås. After approximately 50 kilometers, take the exit towards Borås and merge onto Road 40. Continue on Road 40 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the exit for Fristad. Follow the signs for Fristad and Vänga Bog Nature Reserve. Once in Fristad, continue on Vängavägen, and you will find the reserve located at Vängavägen, 513 92 Fristad. Ensure to park in designated areas.

Public Transportation
If you are starting from Gothenburg, take a train from Gothenburg Central Station to Borås. The journey takes about 50 minutes. From Borås Central Station, transfer to bus number 100 towards Fristad. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Fristad stop. From there, it's a 2-kilometer walk to Vänga Bog Nature Reserve along Vängavägen. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as they may vary on weekends.

For those looking to cycle, you can start from Borås and take the bike paths towards Fristad. The distance is about 15 kilometers and is a scenic route. Follow the signs for cycling paths leading to Fristad. Once you arrive in Fristad, head towards Vängavägen, from where the reserve is easily accessible. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.

If you are already in Fristad, you can walk to Vänga Bog Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is about 2 kilometers from the town center. Head south on Vängavägen and follow the road signs leading to the reserve. It's a pleasant walk through the countryside, but be sure to wear appropriate footwear as the terrain can be uneven.
